Tobias Eichberg has taken over as Managing Director of the Exhibitions Department of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and DLG Service GmbH, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. Eichberg succeeds Peter Grothues, who will be retiring on 31 July

Tobias Eichberg has accumulated more than 25 years’ experience, in both the international agricultural machinery industry and the global exhibition sector.

After graduating from the University of Hohenheim where he studied agricultural sciences, Eichberg worked in various management positions in the agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle industry.

From 2004 to 2008, Eichberg was project manager for Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery, and later worked as a strategic consultant for international exhibitions.

Latterly, Eichberg was responsible for international marketing at a leading global manufacturer of tractors and construction machinery.

“We are delighted that in Tobias Eichberg, we have acquired not only an experienced professional in the international trade fair business, but also an expert in the professional topics in the agricultural and food industry as well as agricultural machinery,” said Dr. Reinhard Grandke, Chief Executive Officer, DLG.
