The Horsch Leeb Xeric 14 FS pneumatic fertilizer spreader will go into series production for season 2026. After introduction at Agritechnica 2023, the machine was further developed, based on extensive field experience. Series production now starts with new features and optimized technology.

In addition to the familiar working widths of 36 and 48 m, a 39 m version now completes the range. With a capacity of 14 m³, short filling and long spreading times in combination with operational speeds of up to 20 km/h, the Xeric offers an efficient solution for the narrow time window of fertilizer spreading. Also new in the range is the optional tyre pressure regulation system which allows for a flexible adjustment of the tyre pressure while driving. This increases the contact area and significantly reduces the ground pressure, thereby extending the possible time window for using the machine.

The Leeb Xeric spreader ensures precise distribution across the boom width, regardless of wind or poor fertilizer quality. The system has consistently been designed for the use of granulated fertilizers. The BoomControl system ensures stable boom control across the entire working width. With a target area distance of approx. 150 cm, the conditions for a precise lateral distribution are optimal. The boom actively adapts to the terrain at all times and is completely decoupled from the vehicle.

The PrecisionCalibrationSystem is the centerpiece of the Xeric and the basis for precise fertilizer application and distribution. The fertilizer is transported out of the pressurized hopper via augers and from there into the metering box, which has a fixed water meter and is mounted on three stable weighing rods. Thus, the spreader can be calibrated quickly with the correct input of the fertilizer type. Additional integrated metering augers enable to optimally adapt to different fertilizer types and quantities as well as operational speeds.

For a precise spreading, 12 section metering augers measure the spreading material and the quantities that are variable. Curve compensation (PrecisionSpread Pro) and variable per section (PrecisionSpread Pro Plus) are available as additional equipment.

The fertilizer then enters the air flow by gravity where it is accelerated by air and transported outwards through the pipes. This transport and metering system minimizes wear and variable costs.

The tandem axle chassis of the Leeb 12 TD is also used for the Xeric 14 FS. As with the Leeb 12 TD, the discharge of the Xeric 14 FS is vertically load-optimized. The active steering of both axles with a steering angle of up to 28° allows for a precise following in the tracks and maximum crop protection and even the equipment with tyres with a diameter of up to 2.19 m.
