Jacto introduces BalanceControl boom stability technology on its line of Uniport sprayers, 3030 and 4530 models, featuring 32-meter and 36-meter booms. The ag machinery manufacturer from Brazil also releases its 3030 model with Vortex air assistance system.

The new boom stability technology was designed to deliver improved coverage of plant protection products on crops, resulting in higher droplet density per square centimeter across the application swath, essential for the success of contact-based products. Additionally, the system allows for longer operation times within the ideal spraying height, reducing oscillations and providing operational gains of up to 30%.

“The new boom stability solution combines precision engineering with operational intelligence. By providing more uniform and consistent spray operations, even on uneven terrains, the technology directly helps use agrochemicals rationally, reduce losses, and increase productivity”, says Jacto business manager Rodrigo Madeira.

BalanceControl includes mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic solutions that automatically adjust boom positions in real time to terrain variations. The system allows the machine’s movement to be independent of the boom, activating only when needed, reducing component wear, and increasing durability.

“The main benefit of this technology is the higher precision and uniformity in applications, with up to 72% gains in coverage and up to 92% in droplet density per cm² compared to conventional systems. The technology also reduces the need for operator intervention and enhances safety during operations,” Madeira explains.

Updates in all Uniport sprayers

Other innovations on Uniport 2030 and 2530 sprayers are a change from 8 to 11 sections, with the use of MultiControl technology. This provides greater savings when applying plant protection products.

To simplify operations, the Uniport models 2000 and 2030 now include a new canopy opener solution, and a new track width option of 3.05 m or 3.6 m is available for the Uniport models 2030, 2530, and 3030. The brand also announces new monitors EVOS 800 and EVOS 1000 for the Uniport 2030 and 2530 sprayers, highlighting the line’s technological advances and emphasizing operator usability.
Jacto also makes Vortex technology on its Uniport 3030 sprayer available to the market. It features an advanced spray system that uses air assistance to improve droplet formation, transport, and deposition throughout the entire plant.

“In crops with dense foliar mass, the middle and lower thirds are favorable for pest and disease development. The Vortex technology delivers more coverage in these areas as the air action reduces drift by up to 35% and lowers dependence on wind conditions, which leads to more precise and sustainable applications with up to 2% more deposit compared to traditional spray methods”, says João Victor Oliveira, Jacto product specialist.

Therefore, with more efficient spray operations, the Vortex system enhances spray quality and can reduce the number of applications needed throughout the crop cycle. This leads to savings in time, inputs, and fuel for farmers, as well as increased machine availability and a lower environmental impact.

By providing higher deposition and product permanence in the plants, significant operational gains can be achieved, notably a 35% increase in operational productivity – and improve productivity potential. Still, depending on the crop’s phenological stage, farmers can opt to spray without air assistance.

The new features will be showcased from February 9-13 during the Show Rural Coopavel, in Cascavel, PR, Brazil.
